Creamy and silky feel to it, full-bodied, good balanced. Slightly bitter touch but smooth finish. This beer is slihtly more bitter and less sweet than Gl. Carlsberg Porter. The best porter from Denmark. A scandal that Carlsberg discontinues this porter to leave the market open for Gl. Carlsberg Porter. Shame on you Carlsberg! The beer I had was best before July 22, 2002. But it did not seem to be a problem. bangsvig (6), DK-2830 Virum, Denmark does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 4, 2002 The best Danish porter, no doubt. So much sadder to read in the paper today that it is not going to be made any more after 2002. ThomasMik (27), Aarhus, Denmark

A dark brow full-bodied beer with a long after taste of coffee og a bit chololate. All most like Thisted Bryghus’s Limfjordsporter or Samuel Smith Imperial Stout - only much better. Pleace do try it. I love this style and Wiibroe Imperial stout has it all. Not to dry not to sweet, well balanced alcohol level and a smooth medium to full body. The Danish microbreweries could learn a lot from this beer Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark

Much more powerful than both the British and the other Danish stouts. Wonderful black colour with a tasty and lasting brown head. Roasty and powerful aroma. The flavour is more bitter and less sweet than Gl. Carlsberg Porter. Superb palate. If you like Fernet Branca, like I do, you’ll love this beer. One of the best beers I’ve ever had. Pours darker than 2am in the Sonoran desert with an aroma of cocoa infused chocolate covered cherry. Tastes like a fresh batch of roasted cocoa topped with chocolate syrup with a side of coffee. If this doesn’t coat your tongue right, nothing will. This is one incredible beer. I should’ve hoarded this one out of Zinister’s reach!!! Egon (397), Gothenburg, Sweden
