NobleSquirrel (1100), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 26, 2008 Bottle from West Lakeview. Pours a light red, noticeable viscosity from the bottle. Nose is distinctly honey and sauv blanc-esque. Also a nice acidity on the nose. Taste is more rich with a clean honey bittersweetness and tart pom flavors. Very clean and nice. Tasty stuff. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA Nov 15, 2007 Sample from West Lakeview Liquors. Clear, dark ruby red. Alc and pomegranate are the strongest aromas with slight grape/winey, sweet and big honey. Flavour is a great sour pomegranate with slight alc, honey, pretty acidic and bitter. Medium bodied with sharpness. Mostly honey and very good tartness. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jan 15, 2007 Nice looking pour, a clear purple-gold, slightly thicker than water. The aroma is sweet but balanced by the pomegranate tartness. The balance carries nicely into the flavor. A fruity & tasty mead, refreshing with a dry finish. Nice.

RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 11, 2007 Updated: Jan 16, 2007Great sparkiling purple/ruby pour with typical oily legs. The nose is honey, alcohol, and berries. The flavour is initially very sweet honey with a mixed berry tartness...and alcohol. The pomegranite is sweet/tart and quite refreshing, mimicing fresh berries...mainly of the black variety. This is another fine product by my favorite meadery.
