Glowing crimson with a slight orange fade into the meniscus. Still, no bubbles. Sweet strawberry flesh aroma, some wood, with a wildness under it that suggests a strawberry patch, damp and warm after a late June rain. Reminiscent of Oudbeitje from Hanssens. Taste bursts with ripe strawberry sweetness. Full body with some mild tannin, a super salivary stimulator. Off note of sterile bandage, but it doesn’t interfere. Rose is hard to pick out, but it’s supplementary role is appreciated. This is a panty dropper of the highest order.
