Stopped in to talk about a homebrewing class and the friendly proprietor offered my a few samples of his latest meads. Very sweet and wine-like texture with some obvious alcohol fumes in every sip. These are a touch cloying to my palate. Not overbearingly so, but enough to keep me from embracing the style with any enthusiasm.

The aroma of this orange/brown/red mead is a very strong, very sweet berry aroma- almost too sweet for me, and I was hesitant about drinking it. The flavor, however, toned down the berry and presented a dry, lightly sweet drink with with soft fruit flavors. Decent with a roasted meal.
