dirt55 (57), Washington, USA May 15, 2008 Amazing aroma, popped the cap and blueberry smell hit my face. Oddly purple color. Taste was a 3-way fight between blueberry, alcohol, and that classic malt liquor (ie Mike’s lemonade) taste...luckily enough the blueberry comes out on top on the palate. Pretty much as far from a lager taste as you can get though considering it’s labeled a lager.
ROGUE (127), Newark, Delaware, USA Oct 13, 2008 Poured a deep purple color with a deep pink head. Thick lacing on the glass. Looks like cough syrup and tastes like cough syrup. AB should stay away from micro beers, this is a terrible attepmt at a fruit based beer. Juelze (703), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours a rich purple color with light pink head. Aroma is abundant with blueberries and not much else. Lacks complexity and balance is it’s overtly sweet. Meh. Beerded_one (1617), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2008 Bottle. Pours purple with a light pink head. Aroma of tart blueberries. Strong sweet flavor of blueberries throughout. light to medium body with low carbonation and a clean and smooth finish. KornDogg (31), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 8, 2008 Purple body with pinkish head... strong berry flavor, not a typical fruit beer, but refreshing... Decent fruit beer for AB, who would have thought?? I love this beer in the summer time... goes down smooth, quick and easy... had to buy a case... eurobier (18), snellville, Georgia, USA Oct 5, 2008 Best stuff I’ve had from AB actually leaves a lacing on the glass does remind me of carbonated grape Kool Aide not much on traditional beer taste and you can’t taste the alcohol but you can sure feel it.
