Commercial Description:
Our head brewer’s first signature beer, the true English Best Bitter-style ale starts with Earthy malt amid hints of caramel leading to a crisp, dry finish. Bright copper in color with amber streaks, the well-balanced ale imparts all the subtle nuances of British ales.

dark amber, scant head, slight northwest hop aroma, smooth malt character, not much hop flavor, but lots of tasty hop bitterness, definitive esb, although a tad hoppier than then imported english versions

Medium copper color. Small head. Aroma is caramel and malts. A medium bodied bitter. Malts are nutty, caramely and slightly sweet. Hops are spicy and slightly bitter. Nice balance. Light and refreshing, with a nice mild hop bite, it’s more in the realm of an English ESB. Finishes very clean. Mouthfeel is full and smooth. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Rusty amber body, a very tight white head. Really appealing. PNW hops, some spices and berries too. Surprisingly malty for a bitter. Toasted and dry caramel malts. Dry barley finish after mildly efervescent mouthfeel leaves. Some cloying.

A beer with interesting flavor. Serious caramel taste present, but not very sweet if you can imagine caramel without the sweetness. Strange and intersting. A little lacking in complexity, but bitter for sure. Rerate: A head that remains until you reach the bottom of the glass. Full and malty. A mild bitter, but that's ok.

A distinct and pleasing hop sweetness.
