Commercial Description:
A thick, chewy and strong stout brewed with molasses and brewer's licorice and aged for more than six months. Obsidian black, the beer starts malty sweet with hints of tangy malt leading to warm, sweet and long finish.

Completely opaque, black as night. Thin light brown head. ALCOHOL and some serious roastedness, but hop presence is discernable as well. Some grainy notes, lots of dark cocoa, bitter and ALCOHOL. A smokey whiskeyish character stands out in the mouth. Great roastey finish, surprisingly sweet as well. floral tones fade in and out of the roastey alcoholic brew. Its got some power, but I was left waiting for the massive warming effect I thought an imperial stout aught to bring.

Only had a few ounces of this, but it was memorable. Super heavy on the tongue and very rewarding. Had a nice & aromatic, licorice ambience to it. Brutally intense and very attention-getting. Nice and deep alcohol nip in the finish.
