Commercial Description:
A hop head's dream, the bronze-colored ale starts fruity and rich, with a just enough malt to shore up a powerful dry finish that imparts all that Cascade hops and Columbus hop cone flowers can. Dry-hopped in the fermenter and usually served unfiltered, Spank Dog has become another popular and requested Hometown Brewery favorite.

Copper color. Small head. Aroma is slightly floral. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are nutty, caramel and slightly sweet. Hops are spicy and dry. Well balanced. Nice dry finish (Cascade and Columbus Hops) Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Wow, this could be an IPA from all the hops. A serious pale ale, none of this crappy stuff. To be expected from such a great brewer.

Ruby-amber body, hardly a head at all. Some decent sediment though. Citrucy hops, clean and crisp with a caramel malt character. Cascades all over this brew. Somewhat tangy and spicy. Whew, nice alcohol presence too, for an APA. A real dry finish.
