Dec 28, 2004 This Amber Goose pours out prune color with little to no head. Malts come through strong and its flavor reminds me of a weak barley wine style. Hops are present in the nose but not in the taste. Drinkable.

Oct 8, 2004 Bottle pours a vibrant golden, slightly cloudy, small dishwater like head, spotty lacing, with soft carbonation. Malty, nutty, slightly sweet on the nose. Quite nutty and malty in the flavor. A bit too nutty for my tastes tho. Medium body & mouthfeel. Finishes on a strong nutty note, with a decent amount of malts. Tiz alright, but too nutty for me.

Sep 3, 2004 Amber in color with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel and a touch of fruitiness. Thin-bodied and malty with a slightly, slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall....not so great.

Jul 6, 2004 This is an above-average amber ale. Pours copper, with malt, hop, and toffee aroma. Tastes malty, with hops, caramel, and fruitiness in the finsih.

Jun 19, 2004 Not much in the way of aroma. Kinda plain with a mix of hay and malts I guess would describe the scent best. Spicy malt flavor which is a little thin with a tiny bitter hoppy finish. Not a bad beer, but not great either.

Jan 19, 2004 Amber in color,cloudy,no head.Chocolate/soy sauce aroma.Flavor is sweet and sour,malty.Obviously this isn't what they intended,but if they could only reproduce thata roma in a Belgian style,they might have something.

Dec 17, 2003 12 oz. brown longneck bottle. No freshness date, although a space for one was on the back label. Poured out a typical amber color, with no head at all. Lackluster aromas in all departments. Nothing stands out to me in this beer whatsoever. I had a hard time choking down enough of it to give it a fair review. No malts, no hops and no taste, at least in my book. Maybe I got a bad batch or an old bottle, who knows? A certified drain pour.
