Commercial Description:
Classic English-style amber ale with a full, malty body and a robust hop flourish. Its rich copper color comes from British Crystal and Chocolate malts. The round maltiness is perfectly balanced with a spicy blend of Williamette, Hallertauer, Tettnang, and Cascade hops.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear amber color with a two finger cream colored head. The aroma was toffee and caramel with faint hop notes. The flavor was caramel, chocolate and toffee, with an earthy finish. The palate was average with good carbonation, a medium body and a chewy mouthfeel. This was an enjoyable, drinkable brew.

Yum. The aroma is rather understated with a nuts and toffee approach. There are also some hops in there as well. The appearance is deep amber with an average head. The flavor bursts with caramel, chocolate, toffee, nuts, butter, and some grassy hops. The palate is smooth from carbonation. Overall this is even better than I expected.

Sampled at the Second Cellar Reduction. Hazy amber with large offwhite head. Nose is that of apple esters, in the way that wild apples fall off the tree and decompose under the tree. Malty apple sweetness for the flavor. Another fairly pleasant surprise. But just about average overall.

Bottle with Butters at Second Cellar Reduction. Huge off white head and a clover honey color. Way over carbonated. Ruined it for me.This smells like apple cider. Taste apple, toffee, and malt.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear amber color with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma is mild and slightly nutty with some hints of vanilla and some toffee. Flavor begins with a sweet and nutty flavor but moves quickly to a smooth bitter middle and a roasty and bitter finish. Flavors of bitter and toasted malts mixed with some crisp flavors linger on the palate for a while. Not too bad at all really.

Clear copper red color with a thin layer of light tan head that looks creamy and grabs the edge of the glass but dissipates to a cover. Spicy caramel aroma, floral hops. Body is very bready and toasty malt with hints of caramel, the wildflower, perfume hop finish.

bottle courtesy of sloth. Pours brown with a white head. Smells of perfume, oranges, some light spice. Tastes of citrus and has some tarte hints on the finish.

This was pretty good for an amber ale. I am not typically a fan of ambers. This poured out nicely and had a great solid color to it. A little bit watery but a good smokey bitterness to it at the same time.
