Commercial Description:
Classic English-style amber ale with a full, malty body and a robust hop flourish. Its rich copper color comes from British Crystal and Chocolate malts. The round maltiness is perfectly balanced with a spicy blend of Williamette, Hallertauer, Tettnang, and Cascade hops.

Candied malt aroma, deep amber, small tan head. Taste is soft malt, woody notes, light bodied, balanced, some bitterness. Good. Thanks mds.

Dark amber appearance with a medium size head and nice lacing. Bready, sweet malt aroma. Well balanced flavors, with spicy, flowery hops playing off the chocolate malts. Pleasing on the palate if only a little thin. Average length, slightly bitter finish.

Another beer I tried on tap at the brewery in Frederick. The aroma was good but not too exciting, dominated by a roasty malt scent with a mix of caramel and chocolate. A good, sweet flavor with a healthy amount of character; some bitterness too. The beer had a deep amber-copper color with a moderate off-white head that had average retention and cling. It had a fairly fizzy and lively mouthfeel with average carbonation. Overall a quality beer with some good character.

From bottle... poured beautiful deep copper with short white head. Smelled kinds like a stale chocolate chip cookie (not bad... just interesting). Flavor was difficult to pinpoint. Kind of bitter, kind of sweet. Had a nice bubbling, but was disappointed when it left a slight film behind. Overall, pretty crisp and enjoyable, but I would have preferred a better flavor and finish.

pours a rusty amber with an off-white head. aroma is champagney, light malt/hop balance with some caramel. taste is a little malty, crisp, has some grape notes. though it’s not that bad, this one might be skunked, because i’m getting some weird flavors in comparison to other reviews. i’ll have to re-sample it. mid-bodied with a fizzy, prickly mouthfeel. not bad overall. refreshing-ish.

Pours a nice amber color with small off-white head. Aroma is some malt and hops. Taste is very nice balance between the malty sweetness and hop bitterness. Very nice beer.

Good-looking label. Beer has a nice amber color and a modest head. Aroma is nice and fresh. Flavor is somewhere between a porter and a pale ale or a bitter. I guess that is where an amber is supposed to be. Some interesting little complexities hit the taste buds - a little chocolate, a little citrus. Moderately hopped and not very sweet. Fairly light body and goes down easy. This could use a little more flavor, but it is a perfectly enjoyable brew.

Pours amber brown with a small off white head. Aroma is nice and of caramel malts. Taste is also of delicious caramel malt with a medium mouthful as well as being very smooth. This is one of the better amber ales I have had.
