A bit of hops just to balance the sweets. Ron (1035), Rochester, New York, USA

Aroma thick malty nose. Pour was an darkened amber. Flavor was molasses and toasted malts mixed nicely together. Palate was medium bodied with a nice even finish. Overall a good beer to have around tasty and not overkill on the buds.

This one is a dark amber with an average size beige head. Nose is earthy hops and toasted grains. Tastes just like it smells with a little honey flavor and a bit of citrus in the finish. Very nicely balanced. Carbonation is medium as is the body. Goes down smooth and easy, i could easily enjoy a few of these. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA

Copper body with a rocky tan head. A story of big sweet cereal malts, caramel, apple, plum, walnuts, hints of syrup. The hops are mild, a bit spicy on the finish, earthy, and never make the grade entrance. Not an exciting beer at any point but never a looser either... it’s mediocrity for the Amber Ale.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 29, 2007 This was another ale consumed at the Capital Ale House. The head was thin and the color a deep amber. The malty body overpowered the hops. I want to try more from brewery that is based in Maryland area. Rvrndmaynard (47), Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, USA

The only reason i can come up with is that it is an amber that isn’t too hoppy. Try it if you can find it, it is too good to pass up.
