Commercial Description:
Goose Fact: The first noble goose showed up in the 17th waterfowl collection of British King James II. As the proud brewers of Wild Goose Brown Lager, we borrow back from the British, and the result is a true session ale brewed in the classic London style. Bottoms up, and be sure to recycle. IBU: 21

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with a trace of a khaki head that faded quickly. The aroma was tangy, malty and had light fruity hops - though a bit off. The flavor was bitter, sharp, roasty and dry with a tangy dry finish. Unimpressive.

Very light, almost watery, nutty malt backbone. Light wood bits and a stale hop presence. Eh.

This one poured with a dark opaque brown color as expected and a short lived head. The mouthfeel was a little chalky like a Guiness. Not real impressed with this goose.

mediocre, had some nice qualities but otherwise it was just okay. A murky look brown hue with a fast fading brown head. Aroma was somewhat nutty with other base malt notes. Flavor had some bitterness to it but otherwise it was meh. Somewhat carbonated.

Dark brown appearance with a small beige head and a decent amount of lacing. Subtle, roasted malt aroma akin to a schwarzbier. Taste is caramel malts with moderate bitterness from the noble type hop profile. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel, with an average length finish.

BOTMC Selection, November 2008: Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a clear, brown body with a slight hint of red, topped by a small, quickly diminishing head of foam, with some light lacing. Aroma is the pleasing scent of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is dry, with a slight bitter finish. Carbonation is crisp and not overpowering. Palate is not complex and is comprised mostly of roasted malt. This beer had a better aroma than it’s over flavor profile, but it wasn’t bad.

not a bad brew, has a nice creamy body, bit of a roast element too it.

Not very impressed. Nice looking though. Aroma is lite. A bit of malt and bread. Malt flavor with a dry finish. A metallic taste finds it’s way in the end. A little watery.
