Amber pour with a light eggshell-colored thick cap... great retention and soapy lace. The nose is very faint... weirdly, I pick up fruit and wheat? Odd. I think this misses the IPA mark by a mile. Citrusy flavors, but no substantial body whatsoever... malt contingency is underdone. Bitters miss any sort of pine, and take far too long to develop on the back-palate. The finish is long, but not well-integrated into the overall pull. It feels "tangy" with a thin mouthfeel. Seems out-of-balance and doesn’t appear to care. I think it should be reclassified... definitely not indicative of a good IPA. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA

This one pours a clear golden orange with a large, creamy white head that lingers well. Aroma of toasty, somewhat biscuity malts and subtle berry notes among citrus and dusty herb hoppiness. Toasty malts also in the flavor along with mild stone fruits, clover, orange juice and floral hops with citrus rind and a bit of spiciness in the finish. Medium body and tingly carbonation. Not great, but a pleasant quaff. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 31, 2007 Caramel, pruney-musty malt, slightly piney aroma. Rather pedestrian label, bright orange brew, big ice cream head. Moderately tangy, not super hoppy, bocky/tinny/fruity. Medium body, grapefruity finish. This isn’t going capture any flags, and it has a few noticable flaws in the malting and carbonation, but it’s fair. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2007 12 oz bottle via Malt of Earth Beer Club. Pours a clear amber with an average sized beige head. Nose is malty with floral hops. Taste starts with some caramel, then some biscuity flavors, and finishes with a combination of floral and earthy hops, as well as what I think is a lot of sweet cyrstal malt. Seems like a cross between an American and an English style IPA. Body is light. Carbonation is moderate. Pretty tasty IPA. jlruthven (137), Milledgeville, Georgia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Not much to say about this one. Pours like a standard IPA, copperish-orange, with a surprisingly decent white head. Nose is slightly citrus, some hops. Flavor has more of a hop bite than I expected, but the mouthfeel was too watery. An OK session brew, but is far outdone by other IPAs. shrubber85 (2995), Wallhalben, Germany
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Bottle. Sour orange/grapefruit hops aroma. Light amber color with moderate head. Caramel malt and moderate pine/grapefruit hops flavor. A moderately malty IPA but kind of got a fermented fruit flavor to it.
