| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2005 Pretty bland american IPA. Aroma is slightly citrusy but a stale caramel malt taste comes through to take away from the hops. Moderately smooth finish but nothing is really there. Disappointing. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is light citrus and white grape. Sweet grape and yeast flavors. Great hop/malt balance. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Dec 17, 2004 12 ozbottle. Hazy golden with a white head that is thin. Spicy, sort of hoppy and malty noze. More malty than hoppy flavor. Decent body. Very fruity all around. Not bad. This one does have little nuances about it. rhapsouldize (174), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2004 12 oz. bottle. Crisp golden appearance with a decent-sized off-white head. Fruity, malty taste. I kind of forgot that it had been in my refrigerator for quite some time, and it tasted a little funky, but the floral notes still came out. The funk was predominantly in the aftertaste, so it didn’t really ruin the general feeling of the beer. Nothing exotic; kind of plain. Nothing I would rush out to buy again. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 12, 2004 Bottle. Hazy golden color with a small white head. Sweet aroma of malt and hops. Flavor was very malty and sweet with very little hop presence. Would never have guessed this was an IPA. Foxbush (467), Richmond, Virginia, USA

This is basic IPA. There was nothing that hit you as being special. The taste was crisp but not overpowering. This is a very drinkable IPA that you can enjoy anywhere. I enjoyed this again in February 2005 after pruning grape vines. It is a well balanced IPA. I had another on 9/12 at the Capital Ale house. Another great India Pale Ale.
