| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2003 Deep golden/light amber colored. Thin head and lace. Clean malt nose, slightly piney, spicy, burnt resiny hops. Medium bodied, very citrusy (orange) flavored, malts come out a bit but more after it warms, moderatley bitter in finish. I think the beers best trait is the malt, its has a good depth and character to it. Good balance. Not a bad IPA. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 22, 2003 A crystal clear golden amber body is topped by a thick off-white lasting head with a decent amount of lace. Sour and slightly bitter hoppy aroma with hints of sweet maltiness. Slightly sweet hoppy flavor with an underlying bitterness and a touch of malt. The finish is long and very bitter from the hops. Medium bodied, relatively smooth and a touch dry. guzzler67 (1285), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 20, 2003 This beer will probably not overwhelm you, but it is an enjoyable, nicely hopped IPA. Gold to light amber appearance, small head with a floral quality in the aroma. Malts come through as it warms a bit. Pleasantly bitter finish. gsmitty80 (650), Washington DC, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 17, 2003 My least favorite beer out of the sampler. Much too bitter for my taste out of an ipa and the hops were just not overdone. mribm (419), Hurley, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 17, 2003 Malt nose, small head, some hops (however I wouldn't use the word ample), and overall a good beer. Nice citrusy finish, however it's not the best IPA I've ever had. Just average. gws57 (1144), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 14, 2003 Pretty good IPA. Very heavilly hopped, sweeter than most Pales, very satisfying. Refreshingly hoppy. Hopistotle420 (1178), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 13, 2003 Clear golden hue. White sticky head. Flowery citrus nose. Pale malt backbone supports nice medium bodied brew, with a very smooth and well balanced, resinous, hopped up finish. Nice herbal qualities, very drinkable and pleasant. A decent change from the unbalanced hops that usually bombard the hell out of your palate...hehe, not that I really mind...
