Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a minimal head that dies quickly. Aromas are a mixture of honey and caramel malt, a little bit of herb/spice and a touch of citrus. This is fairly interesting and compelling up to this point. Flavor is very malt heavy and it seems more toffee-like than caramel-based. The malt presence sits kind of heavy on the palate and there is not enough of a hop presence to pull it out of its funk, even if it wants to claim status as an English IPA (at least this is how I feel about it all.) Comes off as very malty and heavy with just a little bit of a medicinal hops presence which keeps the flavor from being a complete disaster. Still, the nose made it seem like this was going to be much better.

12 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy orange/gold color with a thin white head. The aroma was mainly hops, including some citrus notes and some medicinal notes. The flavor was malty and well balanced, with a floral bitter finish. The palate was average with good carbonation, a medium body and a crisp mouthfeel. This wasn’t as bad as I might have expected.

I knew this was a bad drink when I poured it. There was no head and no action. Nose was skunky and taste was worse. Two sips was all I could stomach before I poured it down the sink.

Received via trade with mwelsh13. Hazy orange pour with a nice hoppy aroma. Nice solid hoppy flavor and flowery on the aftertaste. A very nice local IPA that I’m happy I got a chance to try.

Cloudy amber pour. Small white head. Aroma is sweet and some sweet hops. Flavor is malty and very flavorful with not enough hops to please the true IPA lovers. Not a bad beer at all.

bottle. Light amber in color. Some stale, soapy hops in the aroma, dull citrus. Taste has a mild, stale hoppiness and a light malt backbone. Wasn’t thrilled with this one.

Bottle. Clear amber golden pour with a foamy white head that leaves quickly. The nose is soapy, grassy with a hint of caramel and grain, almost more pilsner-like than IPA. But there is nothing lager-like in the flavor. It is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter and finishes moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. The texture turns sticky in the finish. There is an off-putting, perfume-like aftertaste. Overall, a bit of a mess. Unsatisfying.

Pours clear amber gold. Nice head. Aroma is hoppy and semi-sweet. Taste is bitter, but the bite is still developing it seems. Also, its on it’s way to having a good taste to it, but right now, there is an imbalance between the bitterness and the taste. It’s in lines of working towards maybe the Great Devide Titan, but, still must be in its infancy...one can only hope. But for some, obscuro brew to blaze the shelves of ABC, is ok. It’s someway watery too.
