| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2008 Bottle. Nice hazy copper pour with a frothy off-white head leaving striped lacing. Not picking up on too many hops in the aroma--mostly grainy malt and appleskin esters. Flavor again is way too tame hopwise. Seems British in character as well--basically woody and earthy. Some grainy malts and grass. Would have this pegged as more of an average take on an ESB or EPA. Even though you’re making a British style IPA, just make sure that the hops still show some assertiveness (Brooklyn EIPA or Meantime as an example) smjohnst (203), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 3, 2008 I would consider this more of a Pale Ale than an IPA. It had a nice citrusy and hoppy smell to it but it didn’t have the kick that most good IPA’s have. blipp (1769), Newark, New Jersey, USA

Medium body. Flavor has more spicy hops, with a hint of caramel or butterscotch. Nice. Caleb1035 (63), , North Carolina, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 7, 2008 A really weak IPA. Had more of an amber ale kind of malt taste than the typical bitterness of an IPA. As an amber, this wouldn’t be too bad. For the IPA style this is not good at all. Lightly sweet and malty, but slightly watery. Not offensive tasting, just not good. Tasted like the IPAs that I had in England - very different than american IPAs. badbeer (433), Iowa, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Pale yellow color, small head that left no lacing. Smell was weak, less hop aroma than a very very light pale ale. There is only a small amount of earthy hops in the aroma, with a biscuity smell that isn’t all that great. Taste was much of the same, and unimpressive was it as well. I don’t doubt the time and effort put into this, but this one certainly doesn’t tickle my fancy. Low carbonation, lighter bodied, and definately not a joy to drink; probably won’t have this one again.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Pour is a nice light orange with a big white head. Aroma is a nice crisp hop. Flavor is a bit weak but you do get a mild hop kick. Not the best IPA by a long shot.
