redlight (1048), Winter Park, Florida, USA May 30, 2008 very mild IPA. Piney with a slight citrus aroma. Desent bitterness, slight piney flavor. Very very mild IPA, i’d call it a pale ale. Not a bad session beer.
darn1207 (254), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 29, 2008 12oz bottle. clear gold color with small white head. straight up hop an malt aroma - not really pulling anything more specific from the smell. taste is buttery pine and lightly sweat malt. drinkable and not offensive. So... it’s not ungood. K-6.5 lithy (149), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 18, 2008 Hazy brown orange with a two finger white head that dissipates quickly to a hefty lasting cover. Cool but metallic malt aroma. Strong bitter bite a bit of an off flavor is unpleasant and metallic. Off-putting. fatti_bobatti (223), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 12, 2008 liquorloft tallahassee, good balanced english style IPA. poured a light amber, aroma of pine and resin hops. taste is typical heavy sweet malt with some earthy hops in the middle and finish. sheatripper (809), Brooklyn, New York, USA Aug 4, 2008 Bottle. Nice hazy copper pour with a frothy off-white head leaving striped lacing. Not picking up on too many hops in the aroma--mostly grainy malt and appleskin esters. Flavor again is way too tame hopwise. Seems British in character as well--basically woody and earthy. Some grainy malts and grass. Would have this pegged as more of an average take on an ESB or EPA. Even though you’re making a British style IPA, just make sure that the hops still show some assertiveness (Brooklyn EIPA or Meantime as an example) smjohnst (133), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 3, 2008 I would consider this more of a Pale Ale than an IPA. It had a nice citrusy and hoppy smell to it but it didn’t have the kick that most good IPA’s have.
