bottle...garnet red/brown pour with a fizzy tan head that fades away quickly. Mild aroma. Hazelnuts, brown sugar. Nice roasted malt presence, along with chocolate malt. Very faint hop presence, hardly enough to balance. Nice chocolate flavor. Typical mouthfeel for a brown ale. A good offering from this brewery. Brown sugar plays a major role in the flavor profile of this beer along with the chocolate malt.

Fizzy tan head that fizzles out pretty fast leaving a clear deep amber liquid with a few bubbles here and there to break the surface. Smells like nuts, tastes like nuts, with a little brown sugar in the mix. Seems a little thin, but not watery. Finish is not dry enough for my tastes. Unoffensive, but uninspired.

Nutty and brown - just like the label says. I’ve had better nut brown ales, though - this used to be my favorite beer style when I was a bit more of a novice than I am now, so I’ve tried a bunch. This isn’t bad, just not one of the best.

A little bit thin, but otherwise a pleasant sessionable ale. Clean brown with orange highlights and a pale tan head, it’s got a mild, sweet malt aroma accented by blanched hazelnuts. The sweet malt continues in the flavor with a subdued nutty bitterness and a soft chocolate taste. Very smooth sweet finish with a touch of earthy hops at the very end.

Aroma is very light but features sweet nutty notes, peanut skins and low intesnity chocolate malts. Transparent brown/amber color with a pinky thin tan head. Fore is quite nutty, slightly tobacco tinged and has watery powdered chocolate drink notes. It’s very low key, but not unappealing.

Pours a nice clear medium brown color with a small amount of fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, and malts with little else. Smooth watery flavor, slightly bittersweet and nutty, also a tad bit sour for the style. Overall, not bad, but way too watery for my liking.

Bottle-Pours not too dark brown w/a moderate light brown head. Toasted, nutty molasses flavor, not a strong aroma. They call it Nut Brown for a reason. Smooth, sweet, somewhat bitter finish. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with it.

This bottled brew poured a small sized head of fine to medium sized mostly diminishing light brown colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained very soft carbonation, was transparent and brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild malts. Its mouth feel is initially tingly with a mellow palate. Its flavor contained mild brown malt notes. A very average brew.
