Commercial Description:
Brewed in the classic London style, our fall seasonal ale is rich and nutty tasting. Brewed with Carapils, Pale, Amber and Chocolate malts, English Northdown hops and East Kent Goldings for a well rounded, smooth finish.

Twelve ounce bottle pours a clear cola brown body with a small and transient beige head. Sparse lacing. Aroma is muted, just a hint of chocolate and faint grassy hops. Medium body is overcarbonated. Taste is underwhelming. Faint malty chocolate and a vague hop bitterness. Maybe this is an old bottle.

Dark brown color with a thick tan head that faded quickly. The first taste was a sweet caramel malt flavor. The flavor faded a little at the end. Not too bad. I would try again.

Very clear ruby brown color with a thin tan head and heavy nutty brown malt aromas. Warms roasted nuts and a light effervescence on the tongue gives a smooth nuttiness and breadiness to the taste but is not as ’heavy’ as the aroma suggests. Some milk chocolate slips through in the finish and lingers nicely.

This was a decent nut brown ale. I still like new castle much more. It just hat a little bit of bite that I didn’t like in a brown ale.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with not much head. The aroma was somewhat nutty and spicy. The flavor was sweet, nuts, and toffee. It seemed a tad watered down but good flavor nonetheless. Overall, a decent brown ale but not the best.

Pours translucent amber/brown with fast receding light tan head. Very nutty aroma. Nice sweet toasted nut flavor with some chocolate. Somewhat of a light body, a respectable brown ale with a nice nutty flavor.

The aroma is nutty with malt and grain husks. The appearance is light brown with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma and nutty but watery. Overall it’s OK but not great.
