clear brown, thin beige head, lots of lace, big sweet nutty malt aroma with a nice amout of carmel and yeasty character plus a bit of strange hops, slightly oxidized chocolate malt flavor, nice toasted character, good and yeasty like fresh bread, very good flavor that might be improved in a fresher sample,

fresh bottle takes away the oxidation and strange aroma to make a very drinkable beer

Bottle. Strong prune and brown sugar aroma - like a belgian beer. Dark brown with small head. Fairly sharp prune and brown sugar flavor up front but fades fairly quickly leaving only a mild brown sugar flavor. Still a very nice brown ale.

A rather bland brown ale. Aroma of roasted malt. Pour was a flat brown with no head at all...even after vigourous pouring. Taste of roasted malt and caramel. Nice carbonation with some chocolate notes in the aftertaste. Not as much flavor as other browns I’ve had, but not too bad

12 oz bottle from Decaturstevo (big thanks!). Pours a semi clear reddish brown with a SMALL HEAD. Nose is malty with some floaral hoppiness. Taste is carmel, almonds, toasted grain, toffee and a little earthy hoppiness in the end. Body is light, carbonation is medium/high.
