| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 24, 2007 Well done. Looks like the change in ownership had righted the Wild Goose ship as their beers are once again pretty consistent. Plleasant malting scores big here, although the ale could be little thicker. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 21, 2007 A solid beer from the light nut aroma. Again light nuttiness in the flavor almost blanketed by the malt. Sweet finish on the flavor followed by a light bitter. Not a bad beeer. Palate was allmost a 4 but it was a tad thinner than I would have liked. Good carboantion. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 21, 2007 12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. No freshness date seen. Slight aroma of chocolate malt, slight EKG hops aroma.
Pours out a light, clear brown color, with a sticky tan colored head. Flavors are of sweet toffee, some chocolate, slight yeastiness as well. Decent body, ok mouthfeel. Decent beer overall. Suttree (2743), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 3, 2007 Its brown. Kind of a nut brown, if you will. Imagine that. Woodsy, earthy aroma. Surprisingly large amount of chocolate in the flavor, then a touch of grainyness. Mild, crisp finish. Braudog (3777), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 4, 2007 From a 12 oz bottle. Nice attractive deep redwood color with only a thin but adhesive head. Bit of a roasty aroma. Then the swallow ... this is a nut brown! Nutty, woody, barky and even a bit grassy. There’s a bit of a granola aspect to this, gristy and grainy. Bit on the light side, but a decent brown ale for the Super Bowl! (#2683, 2/4/2007) Ungstrup (15383), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 2, 2007 A nut-brown beer - wonder where I got that from, with a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of nuts, while the flavor has notes of malt, caramel, and nuts as well as hints of nutmeg. cheapdark (2047), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 21, 2006 Found a bottle of this at my company party, boy was I surprized. A little chocolate on the aroma. Pours very dark brown. Has a choclatey flavor that reminds me of their oatmeal stout. THis is one of the better brown beers I have had. Carbonation is below average. Finish is non offensive. Nice overall, kinda like a lite sweet stout. Better than bell’s and abita.
