A very smooth beer with a nice roasted malt flavor. I liked this beer but it could certainly be better. pman (26), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Dark and sweet, but not sickeningly sweet. Has a bit of a chocolate/coffee flavor. Probably one of the best beers out there for the price. Birdiebeagle (788), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 11, 2006 12 oz bottle Pours black with a small light brown head that dininishes quickly. Has a sweet malty aroma of roasted chocolate and a little grain. Taste starts sweet then is full bodied and has a malty finish almost like maple sryup. Not bad. Definately the best of the Wild Goose I have tried. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma and flavor of molasses, chocolate toffee, roasted nuts, and open, moderately sweet malts. Slightly starchy and oaty. A solid and enjoyable oatmeal stout.

Aromas of roasted malts and chocolate Tastes are of similar flavors, very sweet chocolate with bitter undertones. Very mild in body. Just OK in my book, wouldn’t necessarily trip over myself to get again. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2005 bottle-pours deep red/mahogony with a darker/brown in areas of the glass that had more dense beer. sawdust, fresh cut wood, milk chocolate, cola, and light roast are the aromas here. flavros are mostly chocolate, expresso, coffee beans, with quite a bit of milk chocolate sweetness. Silky palate that is full for this style of stout. A pretty good stout, but again, i think i had an old bottle. Would be great to try on draft.
