Wild Goose Oatmeal Stout

This was so much better than the IPA it’s hard to believe it’s from the same place. Pours a dark chocolate bar color. Roasted coffee bitter nose. The coffe taste dominates with oat, hay, wheat, and a heafty amount of chocolate thrown in. A bit sweet and lively. While not outstanding it definitely is solid.

Bottle. Small tan head that ended up mostly diminishing, fair lacing, fine-small sized bubbles, no visible carbonation, opaque, and a dark brown hue. Nose was malty and chcolate. Lightly bitter, coffee, chocolate, and malty flavor. Smooth palate. Medium body.

What the Hell is this?! The mettalic, iron-heavy huea of this veer made me think of Pittsburgh Brewing! This is not a winner...

This bottled brew poured a small sized head of fine to medium sized light brown colored long lasting bubbles that left behind an opaque black body with no visible carbonation and a fair lacing. The aroma of dark brown malts contined chocolaty notes raisins and plum. The mouth feel is initially tingly then smoothens into a slightly tingly dark malt after taste. The flavor contains notes of mild coffee dark chocolate and dark malts with a mild hoppy bite. Pretty good and very drinkable. Well done FBC!

This is an old one for me, one of the early few that got me going. Thick dark brown body with a tan head. Aroma had coffee and licorice and chocolate. The taste had all the above and vanilla thrown in. Dry and hoppy finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Pour is opaque black with thin light-brown head. Aroma is of anise, roasted malts and a bit of vanilla extract. Taste is roasty and nice and smooth with a somewhat dry finish. Sweet milk chocolatey beginning with a slightly bitter hoppy finish. Carbonation provides a bit of a bite. Solid beer.

This stout pours dark and thin with light off white head that discipates quickly. Not much aroma to it at all. Its flavor is of smoke and carmel with a moderate carbonation bite. Over all it is a refreshing and enjoyable stout.

Very roasty and filled with a core of thick sweet oatmeal flavors. Unfortunately, the body doesn’t share that thickness - it’s not thin, but it’s very medium. Aroma is roasty, but not real strong. Body is dark ruby - you can see thru if you hold it up to the light. Small prickly bubbles detract from the smoothness.
