Dec 8, 2003 Old and musty aroma of grass and yeast. Smooth in the mouth but with a butter candy flavor... also some pencil shaving flavor. I don't know why, it really does taste like a just-sharpened pencil smells, don't ask me why. The finish is full of smoky grass and wood.

Dec 4, 2003 I don't know how I feel about this brew. On one hand, it is a good laid back sweet stout, good mouthfeel (almost no hops present). On the other hand, this does feel a bit too creamy without a real depth to it,

Dec 2, 2003 From 2000 Notes - Huge head, black body. Aroma is roasted malt. Flavor is very malty with minimal hops. Not too bad.

Dec 1, 2003 (Bottle) Pours a huge, frothy, beige head and an opaque body. Nose of roasted malt and coffee. Strong coffee and chocolate taste. Very nice though more like a porter. Good.

Nov 5, 2003 Great stout. Looks good in the glass with a decent stouty head. Nice slight bitterness in the finish. Very creamy!

Sep 24, 2003 NIce head, decent sweet aroma, and a nice creamy mouthfeel. Balanced flavor that is very enjoyable. A solid brew for small coin.
