Sweet malts with vanilla, very very light stout. Not much of a stout, i’d say its a desent brown ale. ChainGangGuy (2592), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA

Smell: Somewhat light aroma with mild notes of dark malts, oats, and sweetened cocoa.
Taste: Sweet, dark maltiness with a touch of roast and oats. Light tastes of chocolate and caramel. The beer is without much hoppiness beyond a light, vaguely spicy bitterness. Sweetish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A fairly tasty, relatively light sweet stout. FatTony (121), Augusta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 5, 2008 12 ounce bottle- pours out a slightly transparent chestnut brown with a weak tan head. The aroma is chocolate and toasted malt. Taste is a surprisingly strong chocolate with a bitter coffee finish. A little weak on the palate for a stout, almost but not quite watered down. Enjoyable, above average. R-dog (19), Alabama, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Slight aroma of green apples and some whiffs of chemical.
Dark red, mahogany color.
Chunky off-white head with Lingering lace like cottage cheese.
Watery, but not harshly over-carbonated body. Smooth but thin. Roasted dry malt flavors and a dry, hopped finish.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Pours a lighter brown from the bottle. Nice concave mocha head. Body is Light to Medium and mellow and sweet. A light crisp toastiness ends the whole thing out. I expected a bit more in the body and the mouthfeel was a skoash watery. Two of these snuck up on me, it could have been the firepace too. Either way this rainy day was passed well with both. Thanks to my wife for bringing a mess of Wild Goose products back from her training in Frederick. What a woman. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 30, 2008 A pleasant surprise from a brewer I’ve not had much experience with. Pours to a dark brown, with a thick tan head that lingers through mid-glass and leaves okay. Aroma is a malty mix of chocolate, caramel, roasted nuts, and I actually did detect oatmeal. Surprisingly, though only 5.9% abv, the scent of alcohol was also present, especially as the beer warmed.
Mouthfeel is full and slightly sweet, with a tinge of hoppy bitterness at the end, and the flavor picks up the flavors found in the nose.
This rounds off to a long, smooth, slightly warming finish. Not a bad beer at all. Ron (1035), Rochester, New York, USA
