brings some nice flavors, starting with the aroma is a nice coffee-chocolate bar aroma. palate is a little weak the malts give a nice flavor and the hops are standard for this style. still the flavor all work.

Sep 20, 2008 Pours a dark, coffee brown. Aroma is rich and woody. A little toasty nut hint. Flavor is warm....sweet...good roasty malt flavor. Also a bit of dark chocolate on the back of the tongue. A little bit thin though. Overall, pretty solid brew.

Sep 16, 2008 Pours near black with a fully receding tan ehad. Aroma of oatmeal, sweet chocolate malt, toasted malt. Tastes of mild chocolate, light sweetness, smoothness lended by oatmeal. Medium to full bodied, lively carbonation.

Aug 29, 2008 Bottle. Rich aroma: malt, oats, nuts, chocolate, roasted barley. Sweet and slightly acidic. Rich, smooth malt and oat taste. Sweet and creamy, with the burnt flavor kicking in a bit later and lasting a long time. Long finish of burnt wood and roasted nuts. Thick palate, creamy and smooth. Very nice all around with great balance and pretty good complexity. Slightly too sweet and acidic for me.

Aug 13, 2008 Opaque thin light brown head. Aroma is toasted malt. Fairly thin light palate mild roasty flavor. Quaffable but a little lacking in body and character.

Aug 7, 2008 Slightly metallic hazelnut caramel aroma. The flavor echoes the aroma pretty closely. A bit thin, but not bad.
