Dec 1, 2007 From bottle. Dark brown and transparent. Small, tan head that did not last too long. Light, chocolate flavor but not very strong. Not bad, but I’d buy many others before buying this again.

Nov 9, 2007 Bottle: Nearly black, rather a deep brown with cola hues, moderate frothy light beige head, sparce lacing. Soft roasted malt nose, a little coffee bean and chocolate, minor lactose. Toasted malts on the tongue, not terribly roasty but still good. A light Porter for sure. Aside from the mainly toasted malts, slight lactose like sweetness. Light example for the style, but clean and easy to drink. Perhaps a great entry level Porter. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Fairly decent for a light Porter. Thanks Phil for the bottle!

Oct 20, 2007 Bottle: Transparent dark mahogany brown with a thin-lacing wispy light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and chocolate with a touch of smoke. Starts with a fairly-full dark caramely maltiness with some bittering hops and roasted presence. Finishes smooth and milk chocolatey. A pretty good porter.

Sep 14, 2007 Deep brown color with chocolate and malt aroma. Nice creamy chocolate flavor with a hoppy ending.

Jul 23, 2007 Had a bottle of this to celabrate my daughter scoring the last goal of the season during thier last game. 12 oz. bottle. Deep brown, almost black, body with a good thick brown head. I didn’t get much aroma, but a bit of chocolate and toasted malts. Flavor is of vanilla and chocolate with a toasty note. Palate is quite smooth.

Jul 7, 2007 Bottle. Coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Dark brown with moderat head. Strong coffee and malt flavor with a sharp acidic bite. Moderate carbonation. Very nice flavor but less smooth than the average porter.

Jul 3, 2007 12 oz bottle from variety pack. Poured very dark, just like a perfect porter. very nice roast with just a very slight hint of chocolate? had a slight irony taste, which I like being form the ’burg...outstanding
