Pours orangish with a medium white head. Big pumpkin and pumpkin pie spicy aroma. Tastes pumpkiny, with an authentic pumpkin flavor, and a rich palate. I swore I smelled and tasted whipped cream in this. The best pumpkin beer I have yet quaffed, and a great beer in any genre. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA

Caramel and cinnamon in the nose, but not overly spiced. This is one of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had ... most tend toward over spicing them. Lingering taste of cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamum in the finish. A nice one. lamas (718), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA

A rich orange pour with a thin light-tan head. The aroma features cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie filling and sweet malts. Medium-bodied and smooth. Malty/pumpkin pulpy taste with a bunch of spices that tingle on the tongue. A sugar cookie aftertaste. jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA

Strong aroma of store bought pumpkin pie filling, with just a bit a nutmeg and allspice. Flavor follows the aroma well, most pumpkin pie like beer I’ve had this season. Palate is a medium, semi-sweet, and a bit spicy. Great take on this style, very meaty (as in pumpkin meat), like a drinkable pumpkin pie...delicious. Big surprise from Wild Goose. zywiecporter (10), Flintstone, Maryland, USA

Always, always have a sixer of pumpkin patch on hand when you’re cooking burgers and dogs around the campfire on a crisp autumn night. BONUS: if you live in the MD/DC/VA region, like camping, and can get this stuff, combo it in with a sixer of Dominion Oak Barrel Stout and enjoy fall the way it was meant to be enjoyed :) Perm (151), Tryon, North Carolina, USA

I enjoy the style immensely, but find that I’m very picky with it. This one gets high marks for flavor and balance. scraff (1942), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 2, 2005 Glad to see some new brews rolling out of FBC. Deep sparkling orange, creamy off white head. Nice aromas of fresh pumpkin (like when you’re carving the Halloween one), cinnamon, and nutmeg, with pumpkin pie crust thrown in as a bonus. Flavor was not as intense, but still tasty with a nice balance between the pumpkin, spices, and malt. A light hop bitterness comes in late to keep all in check. Medium bodied, light carbonation, smooth, spiced pumpkin finish. Perfect session ale for the cool crisp Autumn days and nights ahead...
