Commercial Description:
Our winter ale will warm your winter with a round toasty body and a vibrant finish of Cascade, Willamette, Fuggles and Goldings hops. A rich ale, this award-winning classic ages well -- enjoy its complexity and earthy oakness long after the snow has melted away.

Thin bodied, clear-ruby/brown body. Head is beach sand and of average thickness. Smell is lovely chocolate and some rather aggressive pine hops. Taste is surprisingly big and sweet with aggressive California style hops. This could easily pass with a stone or rogue label. Lots of chocolate and some raisins and winter spices accompany the pine hops. Aftertaste is toffee/coffee and more pine hops. Nice beer and certainly an even nicer surprise from previously-unknown-to-me Wild Goose Brewery.

A deep amber colored ale with a nice spicy oak aroma. A thick rich taste that is warming. A good beer for a snowy day.

Deep red-brown hue. Toasty malt aromas with subtle hop notes. Mildly sweet caramel malt flavors with a dry, tangy hop finish. Well-balanced and very drinkable.

Sweet toffee aroma, some earthy goldingsish hops as well. Malty aroma. Mellow smooth maltiness, with a bit of cracker as well as some rich dark malt character. Suggestion of molasses. Pretty nice.

It pours a deep reddish-brown color with a large off-white head that hangs around for a bit and leaves a nice lacing on the glass. A nutty/malty/chocolate beginning with a dry hoppy flavor aftertaste. Nothing to be overly excited about, but a decent beer just the same.

Deep deep amber with a beige head. Aroma is caramel and sweet with hints of fruit and esters like ripe apple. Good range of hops for balance to the intense malt. Moderate body and good somewhat smooth finish. Slightly oxidized. Overall not as good as I had hoped.

Deep reddish-brown color with a decent off-white head that leaves a good lacing in my glass, fruity and malty aromas. Smooth nutty and chocolate flavors, medium to full bodied with mild carbonation, full creamy and smooth mouthfeel, finishes kind of dry, alcohol well hidden until it warms, a solid winter ale.
