Commercial Description:
Half Belgian style wheat beer and half a fruit beer, this half litre bottle is full of flavour. Whole blackberries and special Belgian yeast in this unfiltered wheat ale combine to give the appearance of a "purple haze". Refreshingly tart and thirst quenching, this single serving package is just right for the season. Half a good summer.

Pours a nice cloudy dirty yellow, with a good white head,it has a very mild, sweet nose. On taste:Mild flavour.Citrus, wheat and malt on the start, and not as sweet as it smells. In the middle I can just taste the blackberry’s and get a sense of a mild Belgian yeast. This is a tart and very refreshing beer cold.If you let it warm up just a little,it gets much better, and more flavours and tones come through. I like the higher then average carbonation, brings some nice mouth appeal to the beer. A enjoyable beer!

Mild aroma of wheat and blackberry with some fruity esters. Hazy straw coloured with thin, white fully diminishing head. Mild wheat flavour with hints of blackberry. Gentle tartness in the finish. Palate is somewhat still though mouthfeel is thick and wheaty. Bottle. Thanks Presario.

I was going to enter this as a fruit beer but as it is already up... Like a cloudy dark glass of grapefuit juice. White head of medium bubbles sinks slowly. Blackberry and yeast scents merge into one aroma. Blackberry flavour builds to the bottom of the bottle/glass. Refreshing, not overly yeasty or overly fruity. Tart around the edges. As a fruit beer; above average.

Aroma of citrus grapefruit, spices. Pours a murky orange-pink, foamy white head. Chunky yeast floaties. Looks like cloudy grapefruit juice. Flavour falls a little flat. Slight acids and not much pop in the finish. Much more interesting when it was on cask at the 2003 Calgary Real Ale festival.
