Alraomon (63), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2008 Crisp golden. A somewhat fizzy white head... very short retention, leaving almost nothing behind.
Very light aroma. The raspberry scent is there, but quite modest, and about the only thing noticable.
Like the aroma, the raspberry is very light. A pale malt flavour, but not a whole lot more going on.
Light, refreshing and a clean finish. Not the most complex thing, but a great summer beer, and an excellent candidate for an introduction to craft beer / macro-crossover
Powertrip (69), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Sep 18, 2008 Wow. Great nose. Absolutely beautiful wrasp...err raspberries with a lacing of sugar cane. A pale to orange colour with a hint of pink. Light raspberry mouth, not nearly as much as I expected. Some flower....and not much else. What happened here? It almost feels as if the true flavours are being held back by something. Did I aquire an off-bottle? Crisp enough, but entirely too light. A mixed bag. I’ll have to try another. patricks110 (172), Alberta, Canada Aug 5, 2008 Blonde straw coloured body with no head. An aroma of light raspberrys and grassy citrus aromas. Light bodied and with an interesting mouthfeel. Overall, this beer is okay and would be good for sitting on a patio, but not much else. fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 5, 2008 Draught at the brewery Hazy blond color. A quite simple ale with a very light raspberry aroma and a light raspberry flavor. Not for my taste. Canadastar (14), , Alberta, Canada Jun 20, 2008 Updated: Jun 22, 2008"...the flavour is very bland as if each taste cancels themselves out."
I agree, but this for me is not a good thing. Purchased 6 bottles of this stuff and pours with almost no head at all that quickly disappears. The aftertaste is a bit heavy for me.
I don’t think I could stomach another one. Perhaps my girlfriend might enjoy it..
Not a very good raspberry beer IMO.
I almost want my $12.00 bucks back...
