Commercial Description:
A traditional Czech style pilsner, slowly fermented with Czech pilsner yeast. The bittering hops are galena and Czech saaz. The late and dry hopping is exclusively Czech saaz. An excellent aperitif, thirst quencher or fire extinguisher for hot Mexican or Asian foods.

I preferred the old Pilsener at Wildwood. Either that or my taste buds have changed quite a bit in the last 2+ years. My notes on the Long Iron noted stong piney flavours and finish. This one is more mild and certainly less hoppy. All new beers are set to debut at Wildwood shortly anyway.

Slightly hazy straw color. Fresh malt character. Hints of grassy, slightly herbal hops. Crisp, slightly fruity character. The fresh malt character is less pronounced on the palate but unfortunately there isn’t a lot of hop coming in to help out.

Tap at GCBF. Pale golden beer, thin white head. Aroma of pale malt, fresh grain, a touch of diacetyl. Flavour shows some very fresh grainy character (good) and buttery diacetyl (bad). Some light toffee. Hops are way too understated and the diacetyl really kills this for me.
