CapFlu (3339), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 11, 2008 (Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival in Victoria, BC, September 8th 2008. Looks like grapefruit juice: cloudy and pinkish. Great pitted cherry nose. Very natural and tart. Not jammy or overly powerful. Lemony mid-body with a bruised cherry rind finish. Very good. 8/4/8/4/16 DuffMan (1961), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 28, 2008 Translucent cloudy dark pink, very little head. This looks pretty much identical to Ocean Spray pink grapefruit cocktail, only more opaque. Mouthwatering aromas of tart fresh cherries, lemon, with a vague perfumey quality (rosewater?). Fresh zesty typical wit palate with a perfect natural cherry accent, lightly sour and tart, extremely refreshing. Initially the appearance of this beer made me skeptical, but the overall delivery is absolutely delicious. This was one of the true highlights of the festival. I hope they do this as a seasonal in the future!
