Commercial Description:
Dark roasted malts and a nod to Irish brewing tradition makes this a creamy classic. Our stout is served chilled to help maintain its texture and finish. Alc. 5% vol. BU 27

Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival (GCBF) in 2001. Good but thin, and not a memorable beer in or out of its category.

Good locally brewed stout, could be a roubust porter possibly but it is pretty dark and may have a bit too much dark roast. This said, this is a very drinkable stout/porter, brewed well, nice toasted carmel and dark roast flavor, medium light body.

A step or two away from a bottable stout. Bittersweet bitter, lots of coffee. Alo coffee ground. Not that sweet, but something in there. Grainy full-mouth feeling. Very drinkable. Highest ranked of that on tap.

Slightly dark chocolate and coffee smell, medium-full bodied, sweet malty taste with a sweet lingering after taste. Probably thier best regular beer

Aroma of chocolate, alcohol. Pours an opaque black, slight reddish tinge. Head is thick. Flavour dominated by alcohol and coffee. Body is thin. Not a great stout but drinkable.

Very dark with burgundy highlights. Very long lasting creamy head. Aroma of alcohol, licorice and chocolate. Light alcohol finish. Strong coffee flavour. Thin but creamy body. Not complex. Light dusty finish. Coffee.
