fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 5, 2008 Draught at the brewpub Blond color. For being an Ale, it’s remarkable for the lack of character, roundness, fruitness, therefore associating it to a Lager, I would say. Useless. CapFlu (3340), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Feb 16, 2008 (Draught) Sampled on February 8, 2008, at the brewpub. Thin, white dissipating head with a clear, lightly carbonated gold body. Nose of weed and minor butter. Flavour is mildly skunky and diacetyl. Likely the worst of the lot I tried. mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 3, 2008 [814-20071105] Tap @ Wildwood (Calgary, AB). Sweet maple fruity yeast aroma has a bit of yeasty hops and nail polish or acetone. Clear, golden orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Flavour continues yeasty fruit. Medium body, nice bubbles. Great yeast blend, interesting floral fruit. tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 17, 2007 Half pint served in an alt glass. Graininess and corn-like DMS are strong and not altogether appealing in the aroma. Brillliantly clear golden body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled, white head that recedes quite rapidly to a partial cover with some patchy lacing. Corn-like DMS up front doesn’t quite overpower the plasant malt character but sadly no hop flavours are apparent whatsoever. Clean, light, finishing bitterness. Medium-light body with somewhat sharp fine bubbled carbonation that awakens the tastebuds. I was hoping for a British style golden ale. Sadly this was not it. Sampled on tap at the restaurant. jerc (3217), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 7, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Crisp yellow body with a small white head. Interesting grassy hops aroma, with odd hint of florals. Mild bitterness throughout. Average palate. Quaffable but plain.
