A musty malt flavor lingers in the mouth and makes the beer wholly Vienna. A medium to lighter body with amber hues gives way to a stale caramel flavor. Not bad, but not noteworthy.

12 ounce bottle, listed as Commonwealth Brewing, apparently a ruse. Anyway, pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet malts, loads of caramel. The flavor is smooth, unoffensive, malts and caramel, mostly clean. OK.

Bottle form Tali’s C-Store. Medium amber pour with a beige head. Aroma of sweet malt and caramel, a bit of sour and slightly funky hops. Flavor is on the sweet and malty side, definite caramel overtones and a reasonable degree of hoppiness, though buried in the sweet malty flavors. No funk in the flavor - just clean malt and hops. True to the Vienna / marzen style. Good stuff!

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper and clear amber olor with an averaged sized off whtie head. Aromas of strong butteriness that drowned out everything. Tastes of some butter, caramel, and grainy. Thin and watery body.

Bottle. Copper color with a lasting head poured into a Hofbrau .3 glass. Aroma is tinny and malty with some underlying orange notes. Flavor is buttery with toasted nuts, total drainpour. Next.

Poured from bottle. Pecan pie aroma. Opaque dark amber, thin tan head. Flavor too sweet, some roasted malt, but more a corn syrup taste. Watery, buttery feel. Things just got worse at the end. Almost a drain pour. What went wrong here?

Bottle from Siciliano’s Market in Grand Rapids. Clear, red amber with medium beige head. Aroma is caramel, biscuit, oxidation, medium toast, off-dry. Sweet oxidized malt, biscuit and caramel with slight bitterness, sherry, some deep purple fruit like plum, dry finish. Medium body with light carbonation. NIce but a little oxidized.
