Mar 29, 2009 (Bottled, rated earlier when RB was down) Very dark brown with a firm, lightly lacy head. Aroma of roasty, sweetish malt, milky sourness and hints of licorice and black coffee. Roasted-malty, sweetish flavor with burned color malt disturbing at first, but one gets used to it quickly. Medium, silky-smooth-carbonated body. A nice stout with low ABV and wheat bringing a fuller body.

Dark brown color, small steady tan head. A bit toffeish and chocolaty, nutty hoppy aroma with hints of menthol. Crisp carbonation. Light porter flavors: toasty maltyness, dry mouthfeel, hints of dark chocolate. Session porter which is actually similar to some Czech dark lagers.

Mar 3, 2009 (Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Very dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with chocolate, liquorice and distinct blackcurrant aromas. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of chocolate, dark fruit, blackcurrant and spicy hops. Rather thin body, balanced fruity sweetness. An easy to drink stout with an interesting touch of fruity hops.

Feb 21, 2009 Bottle at home ... Cant belive i havent had this before in bottle ... deep black ... very short lived big foam head ... oatmeal ? and coffee aroma ... quite bitter ... decent malt ... seem quite plain and not in same league as the cask version ...

Jan 31, 2009 50cl bottle. Black, small beige head. Midly tarry nose, liquorice, smooth sourish oats. Flavor is espresso, dry grainy malts, pretty strong salty liquorice. Long dry ashy and earthy finish. Light to medium bodied, smooth enough carbonation. Pretty balanced and bold, just a bit thin.
