Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
A rich dark ale, dominated by the strong flavours of blended roast malts that are the foundation of this beer. Smooth coffee and chocolate undertones are complemented by the addition of late harvest cone hops, giving a lovely blackcurrant aroma.

Bottle from a London Oddbins. Coca cola color. Fruit, soot, sweet, charcoal finish. Quite light, some sour smoke. Pleasant.

500ml bottle from Oddbins. Dark, near black colour with ruby tinges at the edges and a tan head that quickly subsides. Roast malt aroma with touches of coffee, chocolate and berries. Initially sweet impressions give way to the roasted malt/burnt coffee notes and a slightly spicy finish. Could do with a bit more body to it and, perhaps, a little more of the roasting to come through but overall a very decent stout.

Bottle. Sour aroma. Sour burnt flavours with hint of blackcurrent. Powdery mouth feel. I’m not falling over myself to have this again.
