Fruit, soot, sweet, charcoal finish. Quite light, some sour smoke. Pleasant.

Nov 1, 2008 500ml bottle from Oddbins. Dark, near black colour with ruby tinges at the edges and a tan head that quickly subsides. Roast malt aroma with touches of coffee, chocolate and berries. Initially sweet impressions give way to the roasted malt/burnt coffee notes and a slightly spicy finish. Could do with a bit more body to it and, perhaps, a little more of the roasting to come through but overall a very decent stout.

Aug 22, 2008 50 cl bottle from Cracked Kettle. Black/brown colour, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee. Flavour is a bit watery sweet, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. Ends bitter.
