Jan 14, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, dark brown with an orange hue. Tiny, off-white head. Aroma is one of hard roasted malt. Light body with malty, lightly burned coffee accents. Dry and very drinkable with a subdued bitterness. 140107

May 15, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a rim of an orange glare. Slowly collapsing light tan head. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Light body. Flavour is roasted and light acidic. Mild smoothness from the chocolate yet nothing that gives any body nor takes out the roasted notes into a decent balance. A bit thin and plain roasted, yet still a nice beer.

Roasty with notes of coffee and chocolate. Restrained hoppiness, fairly low bitterness. (No, I didn’t cheat and look at the commercial description before I rated it...)

Nov 1, 2006 Bottle. Clear dark brown color with a tan off-white head. Roasted malty aroma with a light coffee note and some chocolate sweetness. Malty, roasted flavor with a coffee bitterness and light notes of chocolate.

Jun 29, 2006 Bottle. Malty, liquoricy aroma. Black colour, small light brown head.The flavour is nice, roasted and pleasant. The same goes for the aftertaste which also has some liquorice.

Jul 16, 2007 Bottled (thanks GarethYoung!). Very dark amber colour, quite close to black. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, blackcurrant along with some smoke and licorace. Just lovely. Flavour is at first very licoracy and some blackcurrant and some coffee but turns more and more roasted towards the finish. The roastiness and coffee stays for a while in a pleasant aftertaste. Really pleasant for a 4.2% brew.
