Clear, relatively fizzy golden yellow with an initial one finger head that mostly dissipated. Vegetable, corn, herb & citric lemon aromas with some floral notes. Citrus tones in the flavour with some nuttiness and grain. Light, crisp bitterness with a grainy aftertaste. Light in body with medium carbonation. RichardGretton (3153), Leicestershire, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Bottle. Golden beer with a quickly disappearing strong head. The aroma is malty and sweet, and the flavour is very malty and dry. Overall an average beer, too malty really. bobinlondon (843), Harrow, Greater London, England
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pale yellow with slight haze and poor head retention. Sweet lager malt with a touch of diacetyl. Crying out for more hops. Poor. MesandSim (5939), London, Greater London, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 26, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle from Shamansburys. Clean gold with a faint white film. Diacetyl and some faint astringent hoppage on the nose. Diacetyl is a little less obvious in the flavour but it is still there. Nice hops, excellent bottle conditioning as always from this brewery but it’s not enough to save it. Vanilla finish with some late bitterness. Not the best beer they make for sure. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Bottle from Sainsburys, wasn’t expecting much but it was pretty tasty. Pale gold with a white head. Malts, little fruitiness, small hoppage, touch of sweet vanilla, some citrus. Nice for a pale lager. imdownthepub (5170), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 24, 2009 Bottled, 500ml, from Sainsburys, Banbury. Pale gold with white head. The aroma feels right, a slightly farmy mashed malt, the taste is thinnish, a touch sweet malty, grainy with just a hint of hops, lager done in Scottish style, careful with the ingredients. The finish is reasonably citric. Certainly not the worst Pale Lager available and has some positive points. SilkTork (4183), Rochester, Kent, England
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 19, 2009 500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s - one of the 15 finalists. Initially creamy and pleasant with a gentle hop fragrance. Then you get to grips with it and it becomes apparent that this a rather thin and dry lager with metallic notes. It’s quite dirty tasting. Not very good at all. berkshirejohn (1830), Bracknell, Berkshire, England
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 14, 2009 50cl bottle from Sainsburys. Typical lager gold in colour with a dense white head that slowly settles and light carbonation; slightly sour aroma of damp grain with a touch of Saaz hops; soft, milky and soapy in the mouth, again with some sourness and some floral hops; leaving a dry, chalky finish. Drinkable, but rather flat - needs a punch from some better hops.
