Slightly hazy beer with a good thickish white head, refreshing and zesty. Has a nice light fruity bite. I can just pick up on the elderflowers. This was bought in Sainsburys in Ponteland on the way to Newcastle.

Bottle, bought @ Sainsbury’s, Camden.
Pours a great, lightly dark golden with a medium, staying, frothy, white head. Aroma is not impressive, some maltiness and a feeling of "fart" - probably a mix of herbs (elderflowers) and hops. Super dry mouthfeel, okay carbonation. Flavour is dry, herbal, pine, edlderflowers and a good dry, hoppy finish. Sad about the aroma, otherwise a very solid beer.

95p (ninety five pence Sterling) bottle from Sainsbury’s, Hinckley’s premier purveyor of fine ales at under a quid a bottle. Thought I’d earned a sip of something decent after a tablespoon of Amsterdam Maximator, but is this it? Sickly fruit+graininess overlaps with the last brew. Seriously. Hold on a minute, mildly tangy citrus and vanilla coming through. Pretty straight honey and mandarin aroma, humming slightly with resins. Just a really offputting butterscotchy note in there, maybe almond/cherry. Watery perfume finish. Not their best.

Gold with a white head. Aroma is full of honey. Citric tang and yes, that definitely is elderflower in the taste. Nice hoppy finish. Perhaps I was in a good mood being the Ratebeer DD today, 25th September, 2008, but I really enjoyed this golden after some poor ones earlier in the week.

Bottle from Sainsbury. Deep gold, thin beige head. Some sherbert hop on aroma. A rather lovely hop profile on this. It’s a very light, entertaining pale ale, with a nod towards lager. Refreshing easy drinking. Good Times? Yeah, ok, it put a smile on my face, or was that Armando Ionucci on the radio? No great finish, touch of hop. Holds up well throughout.

Sweet, fresh-mown grass nose. Pours off-copper. Flavour is bitter and zesty with a dry finish and notes of grapefruit and elderflower. Nice.
