Feb 8, 2009 (Bottled) Clear golden with a medium, firm and quite lasting head. (White) bready-honeyish maltiness and hints of citrus in the mild aroma. White-bready maltiness continues in the flavor with mild, grassy-lemony bitterness, slight metallic-papery hints, and a touch of wheaty sourness. Light to medium, but slightly watery body with medium carbonation. A very mild-flavored and easily forgettable golden ale.

Pours a fine, clear golden with a medium, frothy, white head. Aroma has a whole lot of pine, light grass and some yeasty notes. Lowish carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit weak compared to the aroma. Good hoppiness though, some light dryness. But it lacks some maltiness.

Clear light to medium yellow color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, flowers, citrus - grapefruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (020808)

Sep 29, 2008 Updated: Sep 30, 2008From a Franziskaner trumpet. Fizzy lager looks with fine white foam. Watery resin snout humming faintly with elderflower, lagery sell out and mandarin splashes. Reminds me very much of Prima Pivo, minus the sunset. Seriously lacking the hop juiciness I’ve come to expect from The Brothers. As vanilla and oat-inflected as anything. Grassy tangerine wrapped in peanut paleness. Not nearly enough hop spike for me these days. A bit drab, but mustn’t grumble at a quid a bottle (Hinckley Sainsbury’s).

Sep 26, 2008 Gold with a white head. Sweet rather sugary hop aroma eventually developed. Rather strawy taste with a little citrus and some bitterness. Didn’t pick up any maltiness, more’s the pity.

Sep 8, 2008 Bottle from Sainsbury. Golden, lots of carbonation. Thick lasting ivory head. Attractive grassy hop aroma. It’s ok in mouth. Like a hundred other golden ales, grassy hop, some lemon on finish. Decent hop and lemon curd on finish. Bit better than average.
