Lovely looking beer, well hopped which shows both on the nose, with fresh citrus friut, and on the palate which packs a pleasing sharp bitter punch, but is balanced well by a soft malty sweetness. Bursts with so much citrus friut this could form one of your 5 a day! If only......

Bottle. Another excellent beer from this brewery. Golden and hoppy with a medium body. The hoppiness doesn’t take over as some times happens. A good beer that is recommended.

Bottled light golden with an orange hint and a nice whitish head. A lovely beer with great hop notes throughout. Oranges and tangerines. A good malt backbone. Another beauty from Williams Bros

50cl bottle, as shown.
Pours a wee-cloudy yellow golden with a small off-white head. Limited retention, but ok lacing.
Aroma of apples, lemon and yeast.
Medium-bodied golden/Indian pale ale with an earthy, not too watery mouth feel. Medium to active carbonation.
Well-hopped ale offers the familiar mix of citrusy hops, aromatic malt and some herbal spices. Increasingly bitter towards the middle, with a strong, dry hoppy finish and lingering bitter after taste.
One of the best Williams brews I’ve tried yet (and I’ve tried quite a few), about on the same level as the excellent Butcombe beers (Blonde/Gold/Brunel-IPA). Interesting flavours in a well-balanced mix, very refreshing and certainly sessionable. Drink irresponsibly. :=)

Bottle, 2008 Pre-GBBF Chris_o Shindig. Pale yellow-gold, fine white head. Nice soft catty citrus bitterness with a grape edge. Soft malt flavor with well-balanced hop edge. A surprisingly well-executed version of a low-strength bitter/golden in a bottle. Very pretty beer.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Amber with a thin white head; citrus aroma; sharp citrus bitter flavour with a grapefruit finish. Straightforward, but a good example of the style.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Fruity and piney, slightly woody hoppy aroma with soft malty notes. Bitter flavour, light bodied but with length, slightly crispy carbonation. Mild malty base with almost complex hop flavours of , grapefruit, lime, tangerine, but also woody and delicately spicy notes; dry and moderately bitter finish with a fruity and mildly malty aftertaste. Very flavourful for the low abv. 17.XI.09

Bottle. Pours a clear intense gold, with a foamy, white head. Somewhat faint, but fresh, crisp, and slighly citruslike bitter hop aroma. Very refreshing, ableit mildly hopped bitter. Citrus returns in bitterish aftertaste. Smooth, amazingly fresh. Mild carbonation, medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Very clean and well-balanced. Good summer beer for sunny days. Me likey.
