Bottle, 2008 Pre-GBBF Chris o Shindig. Pale yellow-gold, fine white head. Nice soft catty citrus bitterness with a grape edge. Soft malt flavor with well-balanced hop edge. A surprisingly well-executed version of a low-strength bitter/golden in a bottle. Very pretty beer.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Amber with a thin white head; citrus aroma; sharp citrus bitter flavour with a grapefruit finish. Straightforward, but a good example of the style.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting
Bright gold with a good white head. Really good bitter hoppage with a reasonable malty back bone. Bitter throughout right the way to the grapefruit finish. Very one dimensional but tasty and drinkable.
