Pours a clear super pale off green to yellowish sort of color. Smells sort of like pears and maybe some old cheddar or fishlike scents. Flavor is very much pear with some hints of apple. Mouthfeel is pretty watery, as expected for a cider, I suppose, with low carbonation.

Pours a light shade of green. Aroma includes alcohol and candied pear syrup. Some apple juice in the scent. There is markedly little flavour. A sort of tangy cider with a sodium bite. Very dry mouthfeel. Subpar.

Pours a white-wine colour with no head and a vinous aroma. Tastes like Strongbow but less apple character, and definite chalky pear taste. Plenty of carbonation, nothing special, this is more along the lines of a cooler than a cider, but pleasant enough.

Pasteurized commercial pear cider... the fruit is not the star here. It could be made from apples or grapes for all the fruit flavour shines through. Aroma is faint and vaguely fruity with some CO2. Very clear and very pale golden body topped by a fizzy, white, fully diminishing head. Sweet fruit offset by some light acidic notes. Very thin and light with strong carbonation. Another tick. Can sampled in Montreal with friends at supper.

Can (500ml). Been in my fridge for a while, time to rate and rid myself. Very clear, very bubbly, small frothy bright white head - very pale yellow indeed. Can’t decide if this smells more like sweet pear juice with apple cores and alcohol, or a fruity tetra pak of cheap sweet plonk - it develops a weird aroma that reminds me of jute backing (my Dad briefly worked in carpet sales when I was small). Taste - hell, I can taste the ascorbic acid - tastes like chewable vitamin C tablets tossed into a fruity wine cooler. Thin, acidic, no finish or linger, pretty lame carbonation - on a hot day after a long skate (rollerblade) this would get the job done, but I won’t get it again.

500 ml can. Pale straw colour with a fully diminishing fizzy white head. Faint pear syrup notes enveloped by a dry tart green apple aroma. Initial sugary sweetness, then tart and acidic pear skins, finishing with a sweet pear flavour. Light to medium bodied, dry, fizzy, refreshing mouthfeel. I didn’t find this bad at all. I wonder if that’s because I rated it before I looked at the ingredient list? Or perhaps because my only other perry experience was Baby Cham?

Can from the LCBO. Clear, pale gold. Mild aroma of pear with a slight medicinal note. Crisp body, refreshing on this hot day. Flavour of a typical industrial cider, except with vague pear notes rather than vague apple notes. Not awful, and again, nice on a hot day, but pretty boring all in all.
