Commercial Description:
Limited to 2009 bottles. A porter, to which rapadou (Carribean unrefined cane sugar from Haiti) was added (but not caramelized rapadou as in the Rapadou Porter) and aged for two months in Virginia Gentleman bourbon barrels. It is a complex porter, to which the flavors of vanilla and a little bourbon have been added as a result of the aging process.

Bottle… October ‘09 O-Town Throwdown!… Pours dark and clear with ruby highlights and a small, creamy, beige head. Bourbony, chocolaty, roasty aroma. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The flavor displays a lot of chocolate, bourbon and vanilla with a nutty component as well. Finishes bittersweet and boozy. Bottle courtesy of daknole!

Bomber pours out mahogany with lasting tan head and some lacing to boot. The aroma is toasty, roasty, caramel, toffee, some oak, a snoot full of hot bourbon and molasses. What a wonderful aroma with the varied roasty notes mixing seamlessly with the solid barrel odors. The taste is much the same with toasted toffee, roasty caramel, creamy caramel and molasses. Near the finish assertive bourbon and oak notes mix in and take this into the after taste. Very well done with a pleasing balance of beer and barrel notes being achieved.

Bomber - dark brown, thin tan head; big bourbon nose with cookies, very sweet, vanilla, sweet roast; texture quite thin with smooth, rich, barrel qualities; graham crackers, mild roast; thinness is my only knock; lots of flavor and barrel notes; very nice overall

Dark malt and bourbon barrel nose. Dry woody and a little sweet boozey notes. Brown dark sugary notes too. Super dark brown, light brown foam ring. Chocolate - bitter earthy cocoa and bourbon barrel flavors. Woody dry and bourbon notes linger. Dry light booy finish hang around for a while. Thinnish body for style.

22 ounce bottle from cdog69. Pours opaque dark brown with a long lasting khaki head. Beautiful beer. The nose is chocolate cover graham crackers, with some vanilla whipped cream, and mild booze. Great flavors of mild bourbon and rich chocolate. Holy crap! This dude is way better than I anticipated. Medium, yet lush body with an ample bourbon finish. This beer is fantastic.
