dkoonce (880), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Nov 6, 2006 On Tap at the Oakroom in Athens Ohio. Light fruit aroma. Clear and gold, not cloudy like a typical tripel. Hides the alcohol well. Has a warming feeling after a few sips. Very little wheat taste. TheOrange (405), Kent, Ohio, USA Oct 20, 2006 On tap at Willoughby Brewing of course. I had if on tap and from a growler. Cloudy golden orange color--like cider. The hear is white, and small around the glass. The aroma is dominated my honey and floral scents. This beer produces a wine like experience. Clean nose and dry finish. The flavor is dominated again by the honey and floral accents. The Brewing company serves this TOO COLD. The flavors became a little more identifiable after it had warmed up a bit. Very good. Rastacouere (5551), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 5, 2005 Lasting gigantic white head rises over the light golden, clearish hue. Seriously grainy pils malt surprises by its fuelic and vegetal(light DMS) character. Luckily, more adequate orange and biscuity breadiness develop in mouth to save the beer, transforming the initially raw hotness into a phenolic and vinous woodiness. White wine reminiscent drying finish, though still pretty sweet globally. Full bodied example with credible belgian carbonation. MIBRomeo (1962), Wisconsin, USA Oct 3, 2005 clear yellow small white head. Belgian yeast corriander, nutmbeg and some bread dough along w/ other spice in the aroma. Carbonated creamy full bodied palate. Doughy yeasty nutmeg spice flavor w/ some fruit and a tiny bitter finish w/ a warm swallow.. not bad. hershiser2 (902), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jan 31, 2004 Appearance: cloudy, almost looks like apple cider with a thick white head that disappears almost completely.
Smell: very little, actually
Taste: strange, sweet and thick, not beer flavored.
Mouthfeel: not bad, feels kinda good
This beer gets an average drinkability. At 10% abv, you're gonna get drunk quick... and it's a bit too sweet and thick to consume more than one.
