Aug 10, 2009 Finally a WBC beer that hits the spot! Strong chocolate flavor and a thick brown head. Alcohol is present but not as present as the ABV would lead you to believe. Wish this was a standard brew here. Lamenting its departure...

A Samichlaus reminiscent experiment whose recipe seems more complex than the result.
I like:
Totally not my type of beer.
I dislike:
Huge alcohol impact from the beginning until the end. Aromatic, but in a rooty, syrupy fashion. Very vaporous. Strong liquorice, concentrated malt flavours and not so much dark chocolate despite the use of it. Very very warming, medium bodied. No lager character left behind that alcohol.
